Central City Voters to Decide Fate of Long-time School Board Member

Posted: Updated:

Central City voters will get a chance Tuesday to have their say concerning the future of a long–time school board member.

Polling in Chapman, Central City and Marquette will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 14 for voting on the proposed recall of 25–year school board member Kent Malm.

A recall petition was filed by Kip Lenhart for what the petition calls a "lack of responsiveness to concerns raised by public and staff."

While the April firing of football coach Darin Garfield played a part, Lenhart says the recall isn't based solely on that factor.
