Due to a limited number of female guards at the York County Jail, jail officials are considering an inmate swap with nearby Polk County.

Radcliff told the county commissioners that his jail was found to be
noncompliant after a jail standards review. That's because there are
only enough female guards to cover 24 hours on five days, leaving a
shortage for the two other days.

The sheriff says his department will start looking for some part-time female guards to work the remaining overnight shifts.
