Husker Starter Banned From Campus, Won't Play in 2014

Posted: Updated:

Defensive tackle Avery Moss has been banned from the Nebraska campus in Lincoln and will not play for the Cornhuskers in their 2014 season.

Moss pleaded no contest on Monday to public indecency in connection with a 2012 incident. His sentencing is scheduled for March 28.

University spokesman Steve Smith said Moss is not enrolled and has been banned from the Lincoln campus through the end of the year. Smith said he couldn't disclose the reasons behind Moss' ban because of privacy laws.

According to police, a female student reported a man exposed himself twice to her in December 2012 at a campus convenience store where she worked. She later identified that man as Moss.

The 2013 three game starter didn't travel to the Gator Bowl because of what Coach Bo Pelini described as a personal issue.
