March Meetings to Give Outlook on State's Ag Economy

Meetings have been scheduled for March all across the state to give farmers and ranchers an outlook on the state's agricultural economy.

The Cornhusker Economics Outlook meetings will include presentations by University of Nebraska-Lincoln economists and policy specialists. The meetings will include coverage of the 2014 outlook for crop -- corn, soybeans and wheat -- and livestock -- cattle and hogs.

Additionally, there will be discussion during the meetings on the latest on policies from Washington.

The meetings will take place in Hastings, Gothenburg, Sidney, Chadron, Valentine, O'Neill, West Point, Lincoln and Nebraska City. Producers can contact their local extension office to register.

The free meetings are scheduled for March 3-7 and are expected to last about 2 ½ hours.
