Two North Platte men are behind bars on new charges of
felony theft after being arrested earlier this month concerning an incident at DJ Auto & Transmissions.
Matthew Clinton, 19, and Hollis Littlefield, 35, were arrested Tuesday after that earlier arrest led to a follow up investigation concerning stolen property found at Littlefield's home. That investigation tied the two to a theft from a pickup parked outside the Game & Parks Commission District Headquarters.
In that incident, a 56-year-old man claimed golf clubs, guns, fishing poles and several knives were taken from his pickup. The items were estimated to have a value of around $1,300.
The guns, a .22 rifle Marlin lever action model 57 and a Remington
870 Express Magnum 12g shotgun, have not yet been located and Littlefield is facing a separate charge for disposing of the weapons.
