Runza Restaurateur Donald Everett Dies at 70

The man responsible for expanding Runza into a regional restaurant chain has passed away.

Donald Everett died Tuesday at the age of 70 following an eight-year battle with Alzheimer's.

Everett worked hard from the time he was a young man working with his mother at Runza, taking the franchise from two locations to over 80 restaurants in four states.

Everett won numerous awards while heading the franchise, including Nebraska Restaurateur of the Year in 1994.
