A new cookie could be helping Girl Scout sales locally.
The Thank You Berry Much cookie has cranberries and white fudge chips. There's new packaging this year too.
Girl Scouts from Troop 739 were selling the treats at the Conestoga Mall in Grand Island Sunday.
They said changing things up helps their program.
"It pretty much helps product sales move a little bit better," said Alex Holmes. "Everybody likes to try new things mostly, so it's always good to have some type of new thing [along] with all the classics."
"We actually get business badges for marketing and going around creating mottos for our sales," said Ayza Bolanos.
Two weeks in, local scouts said sales are going well.
They said cookie sales do more than just satisfy our sweet tooth.
"Any profits, we use them to do service projects or get new badges or create camps for other girls," said Bolanos.
"[Girl Scouts] kind of helped me get out of trouble in the past and it's also just been a really great program, something to do on weekends," said Jessica Stubbs. "Not only does it help better me, but it also influences other girls who want to be a Girl Scout."
