Water Recedes But Flood Concerns Remain

Posted: Updated:

Flooding on the Platte River south of Grand Island has receded since Saturday, but the river is not yet back in its bank.

Hall County Emergency Management said water went down about four to five inches between Saturday and Sunday.

That dried up flooding in the Arby's parking lot just south of the Highway 281 and Interstate 80 interchange.

But, officials said the ice jams causing this flooding can be unpredictable. They urge residents to stay aware.

Hall County remains in a Flood Advisory until Monday at 9:00 p.m.
