Trial dates have been set for a mother and son accused of killing a 68-year-old Guide Rock woman in October.
The trial for 41-year-old Shelley Casterline is set to begin April 21, while the trial for her son, 23-year-old Andrew Casterline, isn't set to begin until May 27. Last month a judge ordered the trial locations moved from Webster County to Adams County.
The pair has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges in the stabbing death of Virginia Barone. Barone was found in her Guide Rockhome on Oct. 5 with more than 20 stab wounds.
The Casterlines were arrested the following day in Iowa, after being accused of mugging a woman in a parking lot. Additionally, police said the two had been traveling in a sport utility vehicle stolen in Cass County, Neb., earlier that day.
