More runners thanever were in Grand Island Saturday morning for the 4th Annual Racefor GRACE.
The Grand Island Area Cancer Endowment uses the money made from the 10 K andtwo-mile run to support people and families battling cancer.
Organizers say more than 2,000 people registered this year, about 500 more thanlast year.
Race Director Angie Ziller says the runners, walkers, and spectators from 13states are doing more than just giving dollars.
"One of the things we've really focused on is the hoping, healing, and helping, and the more people we get to come together to support the people who havecancer and those who have lost to cancer, it's just part of that whole processas a community," says Ziller.
The GRACE Foundation raised $28,000 last year with Race for GRACE.
The race also features best costume and best team shirt contests.
