Four Alcohol Retailers Found Non-Compliant During Weekend Checks

The Nebraska State Patrol and local law enforcement agencies were out in a few Nebraska counties over the weekend conducting compliance checks at alcohol retailers.

The compliance checks took place in Adams, Clay, Lincoln and Frontier counties. Of the nearly 70 retailers checked, four were found to be non-compliant after selling alcohol to a minor. The retail outlets checked during the effortincluded convenience, liquor and grocery stores, as well as restaurants andbars.

The businesses found to be non-compliant includes: Ozzie's I-80 in Sutherland, Lincoln Highway Diner in North Platte, Wine Styles in Hastings and Legacy Bar & Grill in Harvard.

NSP says the checks are done to ensure compliance with the state's alcohol laws as well as decreasing youth access to alcohol.

Grants from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety were used to help pay for the compliance checks.
