Some changes will be taking place in the near future for Russ's Market in Hastings.
Construction of the new building started back in early November.
While they've had a few minor delays during the winter months, officials say that things are mostly moving right on track.
The new building, which is located directly behind the current establishment, is set to open later this June.
The much larger building will allow for the addition of a pharmacy, something they can't currently do.
The store will also feature an expanded bakery and deli area, fresh sea food department, as well as an expansion of their freezer area -- something store director Steve Richardson says has been needed for some time now.
"We've outgrown this location. Our coolers are necessities to hold product and they just aren't there," said Richardson. "So we really struggle at times when we're busy to have enough stock on hand and the items that we need to make it successful. So this is going to be very nice for us."
The current building is set for demolition once it is completely emptied, roughly three to four weeks after the new store opens.
The full demolition and removal of debris process will take some time however. Officials hope everything will be cleaned up and finished by the beginning of October.
