Ground Breaking at Bosselman's in Grand Island for New Quaker Steak And Lube Restaurant
Ground was broken Monday for the remodeling and demolition at Grandma Max’s at the Bosselman’s Travel Center on Highway 281 in Grand Island to allow for the new Quaker Steak and Lube slated to open this summer.
The restaurant is famous for its wings, which come with 25 sauces to choose from. The motorsports-themed decor includes race cars, motorcycles, gas station memorabilia and more.
Bosselman Food Services Inc., which is based in Grand Island, plans to open one Quaker Steak & Lube® restaurant per year in 2014, 2015 and 2016 -- two in Nebraska and one in Iowa.
“We are thrilled to officially be bringing The Lube®’s award-winning chicken wings and food to the residents of Nebraska,” said Charlie Bosselman, president of the Bosselman Companies.
Company officials hope to have the restaurant open for business at the end of July or early August.
