An early morning train and car collision has resulted in very little damage.
A train crashed into an unattended car in Sherman County around 2 a.m. Friday.
Police said a woman ran off the edge of the road and got high–centered on the tracks. She walked into town to call police for help but before anything could be done a loaded Eastbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe coal train struck her vehicle at the Douglas street crossing in Hazard.
None of the 133 train cars derailed in the crash and police said there was no damage to the train or the tracks. The highway and train tracks were shut down for two hours to be inspected.
At this time no charges have been filed against the driver.
