And as Maj. Dustin Wilkie told us last year, they appreciate the support in central Nebraska.
He said, "We are embedded in the community here, most of us are native Nebraskans, commute from all the tri-cities and all towns from around. Tons of supports from neighbors and communities, it's been a great relationship."
Chinook helicopters have been deployed to the war fight in Afghanistan, and were also part of peacekeeping missions in Kosovo.
The new headquarters will be officially dedicated Tuesday. Gov. Dave Heineman will be part of a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
