A teenage girl was killed in a rollover crash near northeast of Mitchell Tuesday evening.
Authorities say the 17-year-old girl was driving the vehicle when it went off a county road northeast of Mitchell around 7 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle rolled and the girl was partially ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
A 20-year-old male passenger was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. Authorities have not released the names of either individual.
Investigators say neither of the vehicle's occupants were wearing a seat belt and officials are investigating whether alcohol use was a factor in the crash.
