(NASDAQ: SNMX), a leading company using proprietary taste science technologies to discover, develop and commercialize novel flavor ingredients for the food, beverage and flavor industries, announced today the appointment of Catherine C. Lee to the position of Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.  Ms. Lee has more than 15 years of experience with publicly traded and privately held companies.

Ms. Lee has a broad range of accomplishments and expertise with various industries including life sciences, emerging technologies, and consumer services.  She has advised on business and strategic issues such as public company compliance and corporate governance, complex collaborations and joint ventures, licensing and commercial agreements, domestic and international transactions, and intellectual property management.  Most recently, Ms. Lee served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Outdoor Channel Holdings, Inc. prior to its acquisition in mid-2013.  She previously spent seven years at Sempra Energy, Inc., where she last served as Corporate Secretary and Counsel.  Prior to her tenure at Sempra, Ms. Lee was a Business and Technology associate at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, L.L.P., where her practice focused on a full range of corporate and securities matters.  Ms. Lee received her J.D. at the University of Illinois, College of Law and was granted a B.A. in International Relations, magna cum laude, and a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude from the American University, School of International Service.
