LAS VEGAS, June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, the nationally-recognized sandwich chain known for its award-winning cold, grilled and vegetarian subs, as well as its signature cheese steaks and salads, has announced plans to open as many 20 new restaurants in the Austin area over the next seven years.

The growth will be driven by franchising and is part of an overall expansion effort in Texas that also includes the Houston and San Antonio areas. Capriotti's currently operates four restaurants in the Dallas area and one in the Houston suburb of Sugar Land.
To launch the Austin expansion, Capriotti's has scheduled a presentation for Wednesday, June 25, at the Doubletree by Hilton at 6505 IH-35, where prospective franchisees can meet with senior executives to learn more about the chain's development plans. CEO Ashley Morris said Texas already has proven to be a perfect fit for Capriotti's, and he anticipates that Austin will become one of the most popular markets in the nation.
