- Award-winning sub franchise plans to open 45 locations in the area
- Executives schedule June event to share plans with franchise prospects
LAS VEGAS, June 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, the nationally-recognized sandwich chain known for its cold, grilled and vegetarian subs, as well as its signature cheese steaks and salads, has announced plans to open as many as 45 new restaurants in the Houston area over the next seven years.
Capriotti's, which currently operates four restaurants in the Dallas area and one in the Houston area, was named one of the "10 Great Places for a Surprising Sandwich" by USA Today and "Greatest Sandwich in America" by AOL. In addition, Forbes recently ranked Capriotti's one of "The 10 Best Food Franchises For Your Buck" and #8 on its list of "Best Franchises: Initial Investment $150,001 - $500,000."
Capriotti's currently operates one restaurant in Sugar Land and the growth, which will be driven by franchising, is part of an overall expansion effort in Texas that also includes the Austin and San Antonio areas.
To launch the Houston area expansion, a presentation has been scheduled for Monday, June 23, at the Westin Houston Memorial City at 945 Gessner Road, where prospective franchisees can meet with senior executives to learn more about the chain's development plans. The presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. and reservations can be made by calling 866-959-FRESH or by e-mail to email@example.com.
CEO Ashley Morris said Houston already has proven to be a perfect fit for Capriotti's, and he expects the market to become one of the most successful in the nation.
"Our first location in Houston has been a great success, and we're excited about the opportunity to be an even larger part of such a lively city," said Morris, who was one of the chain's largest franchisees before he purchased the company in 2008. "The people of Houston know that speed doesn't supersede quality, and they tell us that is why they have become such loyal fans."
Established in 1976, Capriotti's serves quality sandwiches made with fresh ingredients in more than 100 locations across the United States, and is committed to ensuring its guests experience the best taste possible. Some of the award-winning sandwiches include the sub shop's signature creation, The Bobbie®, made with in-house roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, homemade stuffing and a hint of mayo on a freshly baked roll, and the Capastrami®, made with hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, coleslaw and Russian dressing.
