Authorities Identify Body Found in Creek Near Cambridge

Posted: Updated:
A body found in a southwest Nebraska creek has been identified as a Cambridge man who had been missing for about a year and a half.

Furnas County authorities say the body was that of 41-year-old Tivis Ferrell, whose wife reported him missing about 10 days after he left their home. Authorities say Ferrell committed suicide.

Furnas County Attorney Tom Patterson has said three juveniles discovered the body while floating on inner tubes from the Medicine Creek Dam to Cambridge on June 1.
