Grand Island, NE -
Hall County geared up for next week's Relay for Life with a fundraiser Saturday.
It's the second year for the car show held at the Conestoga Mall in Grand Island.
Last year, they raised $500 for the American Cancer Society.
Organizers had high hopes for this year too with triple the entries, but said the work done with that money can't be quantified.
"The cancer research and the projects and the things that the American Cancer Society does for cancer patients in our community is immeasurable," said Sandy Petzoldt, Hall County Relay for Life sponsorship chair. "The money that the American Cancer Society raises goes for grants for the researchers to do wonderful work, for the drugs for the people that are fighting cancer. I'm a cancer survivor myself so I know first-hand where that money goes."
Hall County's Relay for Life is June 20, at Grand Island Northwest High School. It starts at 5 p.m.
