Dr. Sanjay Jain, a medical doctor and MBA graduate, was featured on NewsWatch as part of its monthly Biz Report, which takes a look at interesting individuals and companies making an impact in their industry. Susan Bridges, a host of NewsWatch and business expert, conducted the interview and shared with viewers how his latest book can help people deal with everyday challenges.

Every month were on the lookout for entrepreneurs and thought leaders that are making waves in their industry. And today were focusing on Dr. Sanjay Jain. Hes a NY Times bestselling author of the book, Optimal Living 360. He is not only a medical doctor but also an MBA graduate. So Dr. Jain, tell us a little bit about yourself and why you wrote this book.

Believe it or not, I never initially planned to write a book. A few years ago, I had to go through my own life challenges when it came to dealing with mental stress, weight gain, financial strain, and even with my personal relationships. I needed to search for answers myself. I researched extensively and implemented many of what was learned. After trial and error, I was able to figure things out and get amazing results. This book is meant to share all the information I discovered. I realized there was a need for a book which laid it all out. This book does just that, said Dr. Jain. I discuss what I call life core assets as well as life currencies. It is framed in away to help organize lifes priorities in a simple and easy way. I use some business terminology to make certain concepts more understandable. For instance, I use the term ROI a lot to discuss how to maximize ones return on lifes investments. The most important thing I want people to realize is to see how various aspects of our lives are very much interconnected. One thing improved can lead to good things in other areas.
