Posted: Updated:

A man was sent to the hospital, and then jailed after a suspected drunk driving crash near Grand Island.

Shortly before 3:30 Monday afternoon, 25–year–old Chisum Thurston lost control of his truck while pulling a horse trailer on Highway 281, near the Bosselman Travel Center.

He went through the ditch and hit two light poles before coming to a stop. Officers arrested Thurston after an examination at the hospital. There was one horse in the trailer, that received minor cuts in the crash.

Online records show Thurston was later released from jail.
