On July 28, the live entertainment venue will celebrate its 28th anniversary with a special concert.
Houston, TX (PRWEB) July 08, 2014
Last Concert Café is celebrating their 28th anniversary the right way, with an exciting concert filled with talented bands and musicians. The concert will begin at 5 p.m., with gates opening at 4 p.m., and costs $20 per person or $30 for two people. All proceeds will benefit FM radio station KPFT 90.1.
KPFT 90.1 is a listener-funded public radio station situated in the Houston area. Nearly 90 percent of its funding comes from individual listener-members. It has no corporate sponsors and is commercial-free.
Last Concert Café features a variety of musicians and performers who always put on a great show. This anniversary concert is sure to be on par with the cafés best acts if not better! The concert lineup is as follows:
Over the years, the Last Concert Café has been featured on Culture Map, Houston Chronicle, Praia Urbana, Fearless Critic, The Arizona Republic, and Playboy. Since its inception in 1949, the Last Concert Café has become one of Houstons most interesting establishments, entertaining crowds nightly.
The café features a locked front door and no sign. To gain entry, a customer must knock to get someone to let him or her in. In this way, Last Concert Café has created an elusive and exclusive atmosphere. To visit the café, customers must know about it or hear about it beforehand. The structure, built in the 1880s, was originally registered in Houstons historical roster as a rent-by-the-hour mens entertainment business.
Besides offering up all sorts of talented musicians and performers, Last Concert Café is also well-known for its food. The flavorful Tex-Mex cuisine is made from scratch and features local recipes. Customers come from all over to get a taste of both the food and the music that can be found at Last Concert Café.
Last Concert Café is currently owned by Dawn Fudge. She has owned the café for the last 28 years. Last Concert Café features live bands seven days a week from world-class bands to local acts. Sunday Jam Circle is an event that focuses on local bands. They also have open mic night on Mondays. For more information, visit http://lastconcert.com/.
