CHARLOTTE, Mich., July 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Spartan Motors, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAR) ("Spartan" or the "Company") announced the appointment of Thomas Schultz as Vice President of Human Resources, effective today. Mr. Schultz will report to John Sztykiel, Spartan's Chief Executive Officer.
"Tom brings a wealth of experience and skills that include operations, human resources and talent development, as well as a background in managing large manufacturing facilities and senior roles in human resources," Sztykiel said. Mr. Schultz was previously employed by United Technologies, Energy Conversion Devices and United Solar Ovonics, and American Axle and Manufacturing. He received a law degree from the University of Detroit, a Masters in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University and a Bachelors degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Western Michigan University.
