Weeknight News Anchor
Colleen Williams was born in Breda, Iowa. She graduated from Gallatin High School in Gallatin, Missouri, and Missouri Western State College, where she earned her degree in Speech Communication with an emphasis in Video Production.
Colleen started in the news business as a production assistant at KQTV in St. Joseph, Missouri. It was there, by accident, that she ended up in front of the camera when the station needed someone to do a series of Public Service Announcements. She later became a general assignment reporter for KQTV. Her next job was anchoring the weekend news at KTVO in Kirksville, Missouri. Colleen came to NTV to be the 6PM and 10PM co-anchor. After 2 years behind the anchor desk, Colleen left NTV and moved to New York City.
Colleen did various on-air work while she was there. Most notably, she was a freelance reporter and producer for the CBS Network's press and publicity department. Colleen moved back to NTV and is currently the 5PM, 6PM and 10PM anchor.
After four years in New York City, Colleen and her husband, Chris, decided to come back to the area they both love to be close to their families and to start a family of their own. He is the former Music Coordinator for "The Late Show with David Letterman" and is currently working for Hastings College. On May 21st, 2005 Colleen & Chris welcomed their first child, son Campbell, to the world.
