First Alert Forecaster
Paul Perkins was born in Grand Island, Nebraska. He graduated from Centura High School, and earned his bachelor's Broadcasting degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Paul began his broadcasting career during his second year of college as a part-time on-air personality. He then worked for several local radio stations as a personality and in sales. Paul currently is a NTV weekend weather anchor. He also has also been a Good Morning Nebraska and NTV News at Noon weather anchor.
Paul says that he has always been interested in weather and broadcasting, so becoming a television weather anchor seemed like the perfect mix of both. He used to keep track of the daily high and low temperatures and precipitation totals when he was a kid. His weather tracking continues today with a home weather station that tracks the temperature, wind, and rain/snow totals.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys bike riding, working out, spending time with family and friends, and attending sporting events-especially Husker games. Paul is also the Finance/Business Manager at Crossroads Ford in Kearney.
