Zach Richie

NTV's Good Life Guy

Raised by a moose herd in southern Minnesota, Zach learned from an early age that he was different from the rest. On one snowy day he stumbled upon a TV tower and was found by legendary Minnesota broadcaster Don Shelby who was on a hunting trip. Don adopted Zach and took him under his wing and he's been in love with broadcasting ever since.

In all seriousness, Zach grew up in three different states(Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Nebraska) but will always consider Minnesota his home. He attended Nebraska Lutheran High School in Waco, NE and enjoyed dorm life and a Christian education. Zach graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a degree in broadcast journalism and minor in political science. He is a huge Minnesota sports fan and had an internship with the Gophers in their marketing department. He's also a huge Vikings fan, so please don't make too much fun of him for that...they eventually will win a Super Bowl. While in college, Zach worked for the campus radio station and was a part of University Report, the award-winning television station for the U.

Zach's best experience with an internship was with 102.7 KFRX in Lincoln. If you listened, his on-air name was Zach Morris and he's probably best known for getting his first kiss live on the radio. He enjoys living the life of a bachelor in Kearney, but he's probably one of the hardest working people you will meet as he also works part-time for Target.

Family comes number one in Zach's life and he's very grateful for his parents and brother who live in Lincoln and sister who lives in Minneapolis. Zach misses Minnesota most because he misses babysitting his three nephews and one niece.

Zach loves his job because he enjoys being a storyteller. He's always looking for new ideas and ways to tell the stories of central Nebraska.
