A chance for little minds to grow and have fun at the same time can be found at the North Platte Area Children's Museum.
"The play part is obvious, the learning part will be our secret, becuase they don't actually
notice how much they learn when they play," explained Museum Manager Mariel Silva.
From baking your favorite pizza pie to pretending to be Bob the Builder, all ages are welcome and you'll never know what will pop up next.
"There's really no age limit. As long as you bring someone to play here, it's fun for all," said Silva.
Moving to your own beat or making dance moves on a piano with your friends, the museum is fun for kids and parents. Whether you're planning the next field trip or a birthday party to remember. "What I love most to see is the parent involvement. To see the children actively playing with their parents as they go," Silva said.
While kids pretend they're all grown up, the museum's ready to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
"There are so many plans to upgrade, different displays, we just keep growing and growing and growing."
The museum has special events all year with a Drop and shop extravaganza scheduled for
December 13, 2008 from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
